Design an endcap unit that is as upscale and sophisticated as the product it will hold — but one that can also handle a warehouse-style selling environment.
Armstrong World Industries’ goal in entering the big-box retail setting was to educate consumers, pique their curiosity, and invite them to see more in the building materials aisle. The client made it clear they wanted something that would stand out and that you wouldn’t expect to see at Lowe’s. We had three weeks to complete this project, under an extremely tight budget.
Alpha Dog Advertising designed a unique solution for Armstrong Ceilings’ two new innovative products, StyleStix and Easy Elegance coffered ceiling panels. Wanting to capture consumers’ attention outside of the building materials section of Lowe’s, we developed a stylish selling unit to be situated in the kitchen section of the warehouse store.
Alpha Dog was able to pinpoint immediately the look and feel that appealed to Armstrong by showing them a variety of rough sketches at the beginning of the process. Building on their input, we quickly developed a prototype that could be easily produced.
Armstrong gained almost instant approval from Lowe’s and was able to secure a 30-store test for the new SideStacker endcap display unit. Keeping the messaging and graphics consistent with Armstrong’s bay in the building materials aisle helped consumers instantly recognize their products and encouraged a buying decision that favored the company. From concept drawings to prototype to final messaging and graphics, Alpha Dog turned this project around in just 12 working days.
