How can a retailer boost sales in their checkout line with an easily movable rack?

The Challenge

Develop a point-of-purchase fixture to increase impulse sales at the checkout.

When Fleetwood Fixtures, a well-known designer and manufacturer of retail environments, was given the opportunity to win a new client in Canada, they turned to Alpha Dog Advertising to help them with ideation. Their potential client, Lululemon, a prominent retailer of yoga products, closed their retail spaces several times a day to hold yoga classes. This meant any merchandising units or fixtures had to be easy to move while also being eye-catching and functional.

The whole project was turned around in only 3 days.

Our Solution

To help control the flow of checkout lines while also providing impulse-buying opportunities, Alpha Dog presented a variety of concepts to Fleetwood Fixtures, which were then narrowed down and refined to a single sketch submitted to Lululemon. Once the sketch was approved, Fleetwood Fixtures engineered the idea into a three-dimensional CAD design. The whole project was turned around in only three days.
